Benjamin Maniatis

Benjamin Maniatis is a recent graduate of The Stella Adler Studio of Acting Conservatory in New York City. "Catching the Fever" is his first full length feature film. He has studied acting for the last seven years and has performed in numerous plays in New York and Northern California. He credits his passion for acting and directing to Jim Kirkwood, who was his teacher and mentor at Diablo Valley College. Other influential teachers include Frank Langella (award winning actor), Earl Gister (past head of Drama, Yale University), and Andrew Wade (past head of Vocal Training, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts). He was nominated for a Shellie Award in 2002 (Best Actor), for his role as Picasso, in Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

It has been a pleasure working on such a funny film, with such a talented and enjoyable cast and crew. Armando, thank you for giving me this opportunity. To my parents Ted and Trish and my seven brothers and sisters: Thank You for all the love and support!
