"Catching The Fever" is my first feature film that I have written, produced, and directed. The film was shot in 20 days. Originally, the shooting schedule was 15 days, but my DP insisted we split fourteen pages of script into two days, instead of one. I thought we could do it in one day. Silly me! On some scenes, we shot eight pages per day. Yes! Eight pages! I think now my DP has something to brag about. The movie was shot with the Panasonic HVX 200 at 720 24p. The files were captured using the Firestore FS100.

"Catching The Fever" was shot in Jersey City, Hoboken, and Manhattan. I used union and non-union actors. I love my cast. I felt very blessed working with them. They were supportive and great to work with. They’re very talented actors and I wish them the best. My crew was extremely funny! They knew what they were doing. For a non-union crew, they especially knew all the teamster union rules and they reminded me to obey them...

I had one assistant - Arlene Caballero - who helped me avoid mental break down. She also handled craft service and shot still pictures. Bless her soul. After production wrapped, I was now an official indie filmmaker, absolutely broke and inherited huge credit card bills.

...I also discovered I got laid off from work.
